In 1952, our Founder, Albert Couderc acquired Sausalito Fuel & Ice on Caledonia Street in Sausalito, CA. Soon thereafter, refrigerators and furnaces replaced good old ice boxes & wood and coal burning stoves. Marin County was growing. The company soon grew to be Sausalito Moving & Storage, Agent for Wheaton Van Lines with the purchase of Town & Country Movers. In 1977, Sausalito Moving & Storage became an agent of Allied Van Lines, continuing that relationship today., In 1979, Albert retired and his son, Edward Couderc took over as President of the Company. in 1993, Edward expanded the company to include Santa Rosa Moving & Storage Company in Rohnert Park, CA. In 1996, the company finished building its state of the art facility at 5650 State Farm Drive in Rohnert Park, where the company headquarters is now located. The building has over 24,000 square feet of containerized storage space.
