I started working in carpet cleaning for zerorez so-cal. I didn't really fit in with the people there but in the 6 months I was there I learned my foundation's for carpet cleaning upholstery cleaning and basic sales skills that would be helpful to me in the future. I was very hurt when they let me go because I thought it was unfair because my numbers were better than a lot of their technicians that had been there for many years, not sure what the real reason was but this made me stronger. I then went to coit, another large carpet, drapery, and restoration company. The people here treated me much better and I made some long-term friendships. After about 2 years of developing my skills as a carpet cleaner and gaining more experience, I wasn't making enough money so I decided to leave for a company called pro carpet Care. At pro carpet Care I was a contractor rather than an employee.
