ZPAINTERS was officially established in 2002 as Zamora Painting by Gilbert and his son Christopher Zamora. However, the family's painting tradition began in 1984, the year Christopher was born.\n\nAs a way to provide for his family, Gilbert went to work as a general helper for a painting contractor in 1984, which subsequently led him to an official union apprenticeship training program for the residential, commercial, and industrial painting fields. It was here that Gilbert earned the title of professional journeyman painter. The formal training that Gilbert received prepared him for a career in an intricate field where master craftsmen are rare but no less important. Gilbert's polish as a journeyman has been displayed through a successful 30-year career of professional painting.
