Valley Chimney is a small, family-owned chimney service company that has served over 21,000 chimneys since its inception in 1978. Terry Dearborn started sweeping part time as a second job. He worked on the CNW railroad as an engineer for 10 years but couldn't find a chimney sweep to clean his own fireplace chimney. He trained under a retiring sweep from Germany that was still in Bellwood. \n\nTerry was certified at the very first testing from the National Chimney Sweep Guild in 1979, at the Chicago convention and is currently the lowest Certification number (0018) still actively sweeping. \n\nHis wife, Wendy handles the office and their oldest son, Derek manages the chimney repair crew. They provide service as we would expect to be treated. They believe in continuing education and have attended every NCSG convention and all regional meetings.
