Within days, he went sepsis and was tested over 115 times before a non-resistant antibiotic was identified. He was admitted to the hospital because this type of antibiotic was only available in IV form and had to be administered every 8 hours for 5 days. During the treatment, his son contracted Hepatitis E from cross-contamination from another patient while he was battling to fight the MRSA infection.
