Innovative Cold Storage is an innovative leader in cold storage and provides superior services in the competitive public storage industry. We are located in the US just one block from the Tijuana/San Diego border, and we offer full USDA certification for import and export. We also feature computerized, dry, climate-controlled, refrigerated and frozen storage; 600,000 lbs. of blast freezer capacity daily; racked and sprinklered warehouse maintained at 0ºF to -20ºF at all times; computerized radio frequency inventory control with EDI Capability; railcar loading; Cross Docking / Transloading A local manufacturer of Mexican food called Delimex had grown out of not only its current manufacturing plant, but also its newly opened plant in Otay Mesa. They began a search to build a relationship with a cold storage distribution warehouse to house its growing needs for frozen storage. Delimex chose Hamann Construction, whom had not only built their current facility, but also owned the perfect location: a 5 acre parcel right next door to their brand new production facility. Fast forward one decade, and in response to high customer demand for additional warehouse space, we have also built a 125,000 square foot (7,500,000 cubic foot) state of the art expansion located about two miles south of our original cold storage facility. This new, environmentally green building, built by Hamann Construction, adds 29,000 pallet positions to our existing 11,000 space capacity.
