Hey there my name is Matt Roman, the owner of Diamond East Coatings LLC. I am 23 years old and love this business for simply the reactions people have when they see my work in person. I loose alot of sleep when it comes time to do one of these floors because of the thrill when its all done. Working with my dad for several years painting, I wanted something different and could not figure out what i wanted to be or do with my life. Summer of 2018 i saw one of these floors get done by a crew out of state on the job i was on. Every day i thought wow this looks like it could be a blast! When they finished i was blown away at the results. My jaw instantly hit the floor and i knew thats the business i wanted to pursue. I reached out to shirwin williams and they had all the products and equipment i needed to start. I put everything i had into making this work this is my dream and its coming true. Diamond east coatings is a 2 man crew my dad and I. All epoxy we use is industrial grade from shirwin Williams this has no comparison to the kits you would get at home depo or lowes as these floors last years if not a life time depending on your needs on your surface. The best way for the epoxy adhering Is to diamond grind the floor removing that shinny film off the surface and getting to the aggregate. This alows for better abrasion for the epoxy to really hold to. The biggest reason for these floors is to protect the concrete from erosion of salt or chemicals.
