You separate, we do the dirty work!\n\nWe recycle your food waste by collecting and composting it! We then return finished compost to our crewmembers, so our valuable nutrients can get back into the soil where they belong.\n\nIf you buy our Yelp deal of $20 for $32, you can use that to try out our service for a full month (normally $32/month). The Compost Crew (TCC) was launched on May 17th, 2011 by Walt Whitman HS graduates, and long-time friends, Ryan Walter and Brian Flores, with the core objective of increasing the sustainability of our local food system by closing the food cycle and keeping valuable nutrients in our local soil, while simultaneously reducing our overall carbon footprint.\n \nSince that time, TCC has collected more than 300,000 pounds of food waste, serves nearly 1200 homes, and has composted for such high profile clients as Chipotle, Montgomery County Public Schools, The Tower Companies, The Blairs, The City of Takoma Park, The Town of Chevy Chase, and The Town of Somerset. They have been featured in the Washington Post, New York Times, Bethesda Gazette and other local publications, as well as being recognized as a Runner Up three years running by Bethesda Green as a for profit business offering a green product or service, with a 95% customer satisfaction rating!
