The ice and coal business required the company to deliver appliances and these customers would ask Boerman's to provide moving services for their household goods. Through the forties and fifties the ice and coal business changed and Boerman Moving & Storage's primary business became a full service moving and storage company operating in the western suburbs of Chicago. In March 2000 the company moved into a new 42,000 sq ft facility in Woodridge, IL that provides both household goods storage and distribution services.
