Our company began in the 1950s with Floyd Martin working as a log boss in Salem. After ten years, he furthered his trucking experience by starting his own company which he sold to his employees several years later., , In 1976, Floyd founded FV Martin with a fleet of just 10 trucks which grew to 29 by the time Troy Hutchens took over operations in 1991., Five short years later, Martin Transportation emerged as a partner trucking company featuring a brokerage service as well., As the freight brokerage division grew, Troy and Floyd realized the need for a separate company to handle that aspect of the business and in 2001, American Freight Inc. was born., With over 60 years in the industry, American Freight has the resources and experience to meet all of your heavy haul trucking, flatbed trucking, van trucking, refrigerated trucking, full truck load, partial truck load, LTL less than truck load needs and more.
