We provided the movement of freight of raw materials and finished goods between Midwestern cities for Jewel Tea Co (parent of Jewel/OSCO) which was headquartered in Barrington. Previous known as Gold Star Motor Service, we sold off the freight portion of the business to concentrate on household goods moving. We opened a location in Arlington Heights in 1967 and were also an agent for Mayflower Transit until 1969 when we switched to United Van Lines.
