Owners William (Billy) Hoke and Eric Jones got their start in the moving business as university students by helping locals load and unload their Uhauls. After three increasingly successful summers, the two decided it was time to take their business to the next level, and they invested in trucks and equipment, hired more staff, and added a successful long distance division to the company. Along the way, Adamantine Spine Moving has become the largest and most respected independent moving company in Iowa City.
